Looking for More?

Find below additional resources and links to help contribute towards giving first responders a voice about their mental health. The more we choose to get involved, the less concealed these conversations will become.

NAMI Overwatch Peer Support (OPS)

No-cost and confidential peer support for first responders, based out of the Finger Lakes area. Offers first responders the opportunity to become OPS certified themselves, as well as advanced skill building sessions and monthly family peer support groups, all facilitated by first responders and their family members.

First Responser Center for Excellence (FRCE)

It starts with education. Educate yourself, your peers, family and those you work with about the impact of first responder lifestyle on well-being. The FRCE offers online and in-person trainings to help spread awareness and education on how to recognize, approach and manage the challenges of being a first responder.
